New Programme for International Students at Ardingly College

Ardingly College opens registration for
The International Academic Pathway 2024

A prestigious Ardingly College was founded in 1858 and is an outstanding K-12 UK co-educational private school. Ardingly College is a top 10 IB school in the UK.

The International Academic Pathway (IAP) is a one-year programme designed for international students aged 12-13, whose level of English is below the level needed for entry to the top UK schools. The places on the programme are limited to 12 students.

The programme can be taken as a stand alone academic experience or students have a choice to progress to Ardingly College or another UK boarding school.

Aims of the IAP programme

Ardingly College has designed the IAP to provide international students with the solid foundation in all key aspects of studying at a UK boarding school. The main goals of the IAP are:

  • Strengthening the students’ knowledge across all subjects
  • Improving students’ competence in academic English
  • Full integration into the boarding life of the school
  • Gaining greater confidence in UK teaching and learning styles

Boarding life at Ardingly College

The IAP students are part of the boarding community and live in the newly renovated Lower School Boarding House in the room of 2 or 3, with shared bathrooms. All students receive one-to-one mentoring from older international boarders, all of whom will have gone through a similar experience of leaving home, travelling from various exciting destinations across the globe and settling into a new school environment abroad.

Weekends and outings

Weekends at Ardingly College are full of fun activities and cultural experiences. International boarders are very lucky as they will be able to make full use of the on-site facilities which include: tennis courts, multi-purpose sports halls for basketball, indoor football, swimming pool, access to strength and conditioning suits, and dance studio. On Sunday children go on various trips to explore the local attractions. They will visit Bluewater shopping centre, will go to theatre, enjoy ice skating, paintball and Go-karting. On Saturday students are welcome to participate in a social in their boarding house which can be a movie night, quiz or a talent show.

Tuition and boarding fees for the IAP (1 year) - £41,500
