Navigating the application and admission process to Bocconi University

Bocconi offers 3 application rounds typically running from November to May. It is advisable to apply early, especially for popular programmes, as admission becomes more competitive in later rounds. Application requirements:

  • Academic Records: High school diploma or equivalent for undergraduate programs. Bachelor’s degree or equivalent for graduate programs. Transcripts must be officially translated into English or Italian if not originally in one of these languages.
  • Standardized Tests: Undergraduate applicants: SAT or ACT scores are required. Alternatively, Bocconi’s own entrance test can be taken. Graduate applicants: GMAT or GRE scores are typically required. Some programmes may accept Bocconi’s test as an alternative.
  • English Proficiency: Non-native English speakers must provide proof of proficiency through tests such as TOEFL, IELTS, or Cambridge English exams. Minimum score requirements vary by programme.
  • Statement of Purpose (SOP): A well-crafted essay outlining your academic and career goals, and how Bocconi fits into these plans. This is a critical component of your application.
  • Letters of Recommendation: Usually required for graduate programs. These should come from academic or professional references who can attest to your capabilities and potential.
  • Resume/CV: A detailed resume highlighting your academic achievements, extracurricular activities, work experience, and any other relevant information.
  • Application Fee: A non-refundable fee is required to process your application. Fee waivers might be available for students demonstrating financial need.
