David Game College London offers a unique Architecture, Art & Design foundation which prepares students for degree studies in the UK universities. The Art Foundation is a 1 year intensive, studio-based course designed to help students gain university places in the following subjects: Architecture, Interior Design, Graphic Design, Product Design, Illustration, Fine Art, Photography, Film Set Design.

Art and Design Foundation course helps students build a strong creative portfolio which is essential for applications to highly ranked UK universities. The course is designed to give students practical experience in a wide range of art and design disciplines.

Students learn to apply their technical skills in context with focus on creativity, experimentation and originality. In a portfolio students need to show their creative thinking visually. This is achieved by working through a process of research, development and resolution.

Entry requirements for Art & Design Foundation courses

To gain a place on the Art & Design Foundation course students must have:

  • 5 GCSE's (or high school equivalent) Grades A-C which include English, Maths and Art.
  • IELTS for UKVI 5.5 with no component below 5. Students with an IELTS of 5 but no discipline below 4.5 can be accepted in September only.
  • Personal statement
  • A portfolio (not essential)
The Art & Design Foundation course accept students with wide range of technical skills and previous creative experience. It would suit equally students with strong art background who would like to develop their individual creative vision and research skills, as well as students who would like to hone their technical skills in a certain area. Students with no prior experience will be expected to take an intensive Pre-sessional Art course.

Student accommodation for Foundation courses

Students have an option to live in newly built, modern residencies located within a 2-min walk from the College. All rooms are en-suite, equipped with a small kitchenette. Student residencies offer laundry services, quiet study rooms, cafe, gym on site and 24/7 security. Students are also welcome to arrange their own accommodation.
