New post-study visa
From 1 July 2021 all international students can stay in the UK after their graduation to gain work experience. Students who have successfully completed an undergraduate or master’s degree can stay for 2 years to look for work and start their career. PhD graduates will be able to stay for 3 years.
Graduates can apply for the new post-study visa if they:
- successfully completed their degree
- have a valid Student visa
- are in the UK
Students do not need a job offer or to provide a proof of finance to apply for Graduate visa. Dependents of the students are also eligible for this visa provided they were in the UK for the duration of the study course.

You will need to provide:
- Valid passport
- Your BRP
- Proof of completion of studies
- CAS number
